1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how AnyDoc2MD (“AnyDoc2MD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit anydoc2md.com or use its browser-based document conversion features.
2. Your documents and conversion output
When you select a document, the browser reads its bytes and passes them to the AnyDoc WebAssembly converter running in a Web Worker on your device. We do not operate a document-upload endpoint for conversion, and the source document and generated Markdown are not intentionally transmitted to or retained by AnyDoc2MD.
Your browser and device memory hold the file and output while you use the page. Closing or refreshing the page normally clears that in-memory state. Downloads you save remain under your control on your device.
3. Information processed when you visit
Like other websites, the infrastructure used to deliver AnyDoc2MD receives technical request information. This can include your IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device information, referring page, and security-related request data.
Cloudflare
The site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process limited network and request metadata to route traffic, cache content, maintain reliability, and protect the service from abuse. Cloudflare’s handling of that data is described in its Privacy Policy.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to load and manage site measurement tags. Loading the Tag Manager container sends a request to Google that can include your IP address, browser and device headers, requested page, and referring information. Tags configured in the container may process additional usage events or use cookies and similar browser technologies. Google describes its data practices in the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts
The site currently requests font styles and files from Google Fonts. Those requests can disclose your IP address, the requested resource, browser headers, and referring page to Google. Google states that the Fonts API does not set cookies and does not use this data to create end-user profiles or for targeted advertising. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
4. Cookies, storage, and analytics
AnyDoc2MD uses Google Tag Manager, and the tags configured through it may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement. We do not store document contents or conversion history in local storage, and document conversion does not depend on advertising cookies. Cloudflare may also apply essential security or network controls as part of delivering the website. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings.
5. How technical data is used
Technical request data may be processed as necessary to deliver site assets, diagnose errors, maintain availability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your document content or use it to train models because the conversion service does not receive that content.
6. Retention and international processing
AnyDoc2MD does not retain source documents or generated output on a server. Cloudflare and Google determine the retention and processing locations for information they receive under their respective policies, which may include processing outside your country.
7. Your choices and rights
You can avoid sharing document content with us simply by using the converter as designed: conversion remains local. You may also block third-party font requests through browser settings or privacy tools, although the site’s typography may change.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including access, correction, deletion, objection, or restriction. Because we do not run user accounts or retain document content, we may have little or no data with which to identify a request.
8. Children’s privacy
AnyDoc2MD is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts, forms, or document uploads.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
10. Contact
