Terms of Use

Effective August 7, 2026 AnyDoc2MD is a free, browser-based utility. Review important output before relying on it.

Plain-language summary

  • You keep ownership and responsibility for your files.
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes.
  • Conversion output can require review or correction.
  • The service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of anydoc2md.com and its document conversion features (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

AnyDoc2MD converts supported document content into Markdown in your browser. Conversion is performed locally with WebAssembly; the Service does not require an account or a server-side document upload. Features, supported inputs, output behavior, and availability may change over time.

3. Your files and responsibilities

You retain any rights you hold in the files you open and the output you generate. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right and any required permission to process, copy, transform, download, or reuse that material.

You must not use the Service to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, bypass access controls, distribute malicious content, interfere with the website, or attempt to misuse its infrastructure. Do not treat local conversion as authorization to process material you are otherwise prohibited from using.

4. Output accuracy

Document conversion is not exact visual reconstruction. Reading order, formatting, tables, links, annotations, embedded objects, formulas, or other structures may be simplified, omitted, or interpreted incorrectly. Encrypted, damaged, unsupported, image-only, or unusually complex files may fail.

You are responsible for reviewing output before publishing it, importing it into another system, using it for automated processing, or relying on it for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, archival, or other consequential purposes.

5. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how document processing works and how website-request metadata may be handled by hosting and font providers. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property and open-source software

The AnyDoc2MD site design, branding, and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our names, marks, or site content except as necessary to use the Service.

The Service uses open-source software, including the AnyDoc conversion engine. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses. A link to the upstream engine is available in the site footer.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on or links to third-party services, including hosting, font delivery, and open-source project pages. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, compatible with every browser or file, or preserved in its current form.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AnyDoc2MD and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, revenue, opportunity, or goodwill arising from or related to the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

12. Applicable law and contact

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@anydoc2md.com.
